The Wisconsin REALTORS Association recently released the latest data on home sales in Wisconsin. They reported that the state is on a record pace as both home sales and prices continued to grow in November 2017.
Existing home sales increased in November for the second straight month, rising 4.2% compared to November 2016. Continued tight inventories put upward pressure on prices, with median home prices rising to $170,000 in November, which is 5.6% higher than that same month last year.
The WRA projects that if the current pace continues through December, 2017 will easily surpass the record sales set in 2016. Even with the sales records being set, the WRA comments that housing in the state remains “remarkably affordable”.
Bottom line: If you are thinking about selling, now might be the perfect opportunity. If you are buying, with some patience and persistence you can still find good affordable deals. In either case, contact me today and let’s get started!
